The mornings are cooler and a lot of Aussie kids grow up with a hot chocolate milk to warm their tummies. I give this one the real 5 star health rating, and it only has three ingredients! It’s just as quick to make as the chocolate milk mix in a tin, (honestly I’m not just saying that!!) It’s too easy and too yummy and a healthy way to enjoy this chocolatey treat. Continue reading
One for the savoury files, this recipe is soo easy. Minimum effort yeilds delicious results – everything gets thrown into one bowl, mixed and then cooked. These fritters are super versatile too, they are great for lunchboxes (they rock as leftovers!), awesome for brunch, lunch or dinner (try with a big serve of yummy rocket leaves on the side, also super quick) and they are perfect for entertaining, you can even halve the size you cook to teaspoon size for the cutest little canapes! I feel like a bit of a cheat posting this recipe as they are actually a variation on the Coconut Apple Cupcakes I created a while back. But I’ve found myself making these so much – more than the apple ones, and the kids love them so I thought it would be a handier reference for everyone. Also I wish there was a way to describe just how good they smell baking! You will have to make them yourself just on this factor alone! Continue reading
This really is the Best Ever Banana Bread. I had so many attempts at creating a healthy recipe that still gave us everything that’s good about banana bread – natural fruit sweetness and flavour, a bread that can slice and not crumble and of course that soft, indulgent texture. This recipe is perfection! Continue reading
Everyone loves a cupcake! I found myself recently with a glut of apples (no mean feat with three kids in the house!) I was a bit over all the dry, chalky muffins that cater for dietary requirements so I created these. Even if you have no dietary requirements you will love them, they are like a yummy café treat! This is another recipe that has stood the test of time with our family. When we started the gut healing GAPS Protocol a couple of years ago as treatment for my eldest who has Autism I tried sooo many pancake recipes. Ah the fails!! It actually tipped me over at one point early on in the protocol, scraping another wasted batch of sticking, crappy, crumbly pancake fail into the bin. That crumbly pancake mix wasn’t just a bunch of ingredients that didn’t work out – it was my time, my dollars, it was my love for my family, food has always been a way I express my love. So let me save you the heartache with this awesome, truly tried and many times tested recipe! Continue reading

We have this dish about once a week when we have vegies left over from dinner the night before that need to be used up. Don’t hold this against it though! It honestly is as tasty as it is nutritious. This recipe is one of my 13 year old daughters absolute favourites and I think it will be a favourite with your family too. Continue reading
