Real Hot Chocolate

The mornings are cooler and a lot of Aussie kids grow up with a hot chocolate milk to warm their tummies. I give this one the real 5 star health rating, and it only has three ingredients! Raw Snickers Slice

Recently I made this for some friends on a whim without a recipe just in the kitchen freestyling, this is where I zen out. I was so surprised when a message buzzed through, “Nat I NEED this recipe, it’s amaze!” so then the challenge was on to recreate it and actually record what went down. Blueberry Friands

I seem to make all  my confessions here. Sometimes I make the kids a real ice-cream (eggs, cream, vanilla etc) and I am left with a bunch of egg whites. We can’t stand food waste so this recipe was born from necessity really. How lucky we are that this is actually one of my favourites to date! It is one of those recipes that even your non-healthy mates will love – there’s no difference in taste to friands you find in the café but you’re going to get all the goodness of whole food ingredients. Fudgey Chocolate Brownies

Anytime my kids ask me for brownies I’m right on to Google and always find a ton of white flour + white sugar recipes. I wanted to create an alternative that was a cinch to make and required no fussy prep. This recipe can be made easily with simple, whole food ingredients that you have on hand so here it is – 6 ingredients and no fuss!

The added bonus is the powerful antioxidant kick of the cacao. Cacao is ‘choc’ full of flavonoids which act as natural antioxidants. Cacao is richer in antioxidants than red wine, gogi berries and green tea and is also rich in magnesium. Continue reading
